December 1st found Donna and The Poor Mountain Boys back on the stage of the Loveless Barn in Nashville for the world famous Music City Roots show along with J.D. Crowe and The New South, Grand Ole Opry member Jesse McReynolds and Folk Soul Revival. The show started at 7:00 p.m. with Jim Lauderdale as the host and Keith Bilbrey as the announcer and it was non-stop entertainment right up until the grand finale with everyone on stage for a final song together.
October 30th of 2010 found Donna and the Poor Mountain Boys 333 feet underground once again playing bluegrass to a large and enthusiastic crowd in the Volcano Room at Cumberland Caverns in McMinnville, Tennessee. The show is Bluegrass Underground which is taped and then broadcast at a later date on WSM 650-AM just before the Grand Ole Opry on a Saturday night.
At the beginning of the IBMA World of Bluegrass conference week, we started seeing postings on Facebook congratulating Donna on a wonderful story in Bluegrass Unlimited and were thrilled to find out that the story that well known bluegrass blogger and journalist Ted Lehmann had written was showing up in the October issue of this very popular source for bluegrass fans and industry folks.
