Donna & The Poor Mountain Boys performing at IBMA FanFest

Many thanks to Nancy Beaudette who was in the audience at Donna's performance on Saturday at IBMA and shot this video footage of them doing "Hand Me Down Home". Donna wrote the song with her husband Rick Stanley about his parents' home in the Clinch Mountains of Virginia and how it seemed more like a family heirloom after Rick's father passed away.

Donna enjoys a busy week at IBMA World of Bluegrass Conference!

Once again Donna put in a week packed with performances, workshops, visiting with old friends from around the globe as well as making many new ones at the annual International Bluegrass Music Association's World of Bluegrass Conference. The week began on Monday with educational workshops and panels during the day and showcases for promoters, DJs and other industry folks beginning in the evening and running into the wee hours of morning. It was held at the Nashville Convention Center. The event always begins with the conference and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday turns into FanFest which is an indoor "festival" of sorts offering a non-stop lineup of who's who in bluegrass for fans with proceeds going to the Bluegrass Trust Fund to help bluegrass pros in need of emergency funds as well as helping IBMA promote bluegrass around the world.

"Black Snake" featured on NPR's Car Talk!

Donna's song "Black Snake" was used on the popular NPR show Car Talk on September 24, 2011! The show regularly uses music that mentions automobiles and often songs in the bluegrass genre.
