Recently Donna and The Poor Mountain Boys played The Whippoorwill on the square in Gallatin, TN. During their first set, Donna looked out in the audience to see none other than Grand Ole Opry member and legendary mandolin player Jesse McReynolds!
In early February Donna entered Ocean Way Studio on 17th Avenue on Music Row in Nashville to begin recording the tracks for her next album. At the helm was her producer Keith Sewell who was also playing guitar. This marks the fourth project they have collaborated on since 2007. As always it was a stellar lineup of musicians: Andy Leftwich on mandolin, Rob Ickes on dobro, Scott Vestal on banjo, Keith on guitar and for the first time working with Donna, Viktor Krauss on upright bass.
The first week of January found Donna meeting with her long time producer Keith Sewell for their first pre-production session as they begin work on her fourth studio album for Hadley Music Group Records.
